What is mental health?

Mental health is the state of wellbeing that enable someone to cope with their environment, having excellence emotion, stress free mind, happiness, anxiety free and so on these are the factors that contribute to good mental health ,although mental health is important not everyone has good mental health some people are experiencing difficultness and various challenges in life and so it affect their mental health condition but also due to different types of disease that a person may experience or trauma in life one’s mental health condition may be affected

But however there is the way to improve mental health condition in one life, if the person became diligent to follow all the instruction given by their mental health provider or doctor.

How to improve mental health?

Here are some of the things that one can do to improve their mental health condition


EATING BALANCE DIET

Balance diet is the type of food that contains all the necessary nutrients that the body require, eating food which contain minerals, vitamins, protein, carbohydrate etc. is very important as these foods contribute a lot to the health of the body and mind, also these nutrient will give the body strength and enable a person to do their activities effective

Avoid taking excess caffeine, sugar, fried foods, spicy foods and alcohol because they are harmful to a body whose immune system is already weak.

Balance diet helps to maintain an ideal body weight, but also it minimizes the risk of contracting long lasting diseases like cancer, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure and other life threatening diseases

EXERCISE DAILY

Doing exercise is very important, exercise makes the whole body health and active, it is advised that one should do exercise at least 20 to 30 minute a day, exercise can help to improve one’s mental condition

There is different type of exercise that a person can do for example anaerobic exercise, yoga or doing vigorous activities as part of exercise but the best of all is that a person must indulge in anaerobic exercise such running, jumping, dancing, riding bicycle and so on

For example, when a person is running it allow the blood circulation throughout his or her body including in his brain this increase brain function as the blood can reach all parts of the brain

VALUE YOURSELF

You must treat yourself and others with respect, avoid frustration and all things that will make you feel bad, one of the key habit of successful people is that you must learn to love yourself, set your goals high and go after them, this will have overall impacts on your mental health condition

DRINKING PLENTY OF WATER

It is advised that one must drink plenty of water to allow a body to function well, water enable the body to break down solid toxic in the body and flush them out, this contribute in making your mental health good and fit

GET RID OF THE STRESS

Usually stress comes and go what is dangerous is to allow stressful conditions to pressurize you. Having too much of thoughts and anxiety is not good for your health, so use stress reducing techniques like meditation, relaxation where you allow your mind and your body to relax for few minutes without thinking of anything, yoga and so on. STOP HARMFULL HABIT

Bad habit like smoking, drinking alcohol are not good for your mental health, learn to treat yourself and others with good moral habit

Bad habit may destroy not only your mental condition but also your physical health, you may start getting sick, going through some mental issues like sanity and so on.

SET REALISTIC GOALS

Avoid frustration and things that can give you false hope learn to set realist goals for yourself The goals that you set for yourself must be possible and achievable. Work toward achieving your goals, read more books, learn from others, always spark your brain with more knowledge. Stop being lazy and complainer work hard to improve your overall life standard
