HYPERTENSION (BLOOD PRESSURE)

The blood pressure of a normal humans being is 120/80mmHg, very high blood pressure over 140/90 mmHg strains the blood vessels and cause hypertension and sometimes heart failure due to the increase of blood pressure it may be caused by the high fat levels due to over consumption of fatty foods, lack of exercise, obesity, high emotional stress, alcoholism, smoking and arteriosclerosis, usually blood pressure rise and fall throughout the day based on the activities that you are involved with, Untreated, high blood pressure increases the risk of heart attack, stroke and other serious health problems. blood pressure changes throughout the day based on your activities.

What can cause high blood pressure?

Having certain health condition can lead to hypertension for example the patient who is diabetic and obesity are in greater risk to get hypertension

PREVENTION OF HYPERTENSION

Hypertension can be prevented by engaging in regular physical exercise, it is good to do exercise for least 20 to 30 minutes a day, exercise can simply help to burn the calories in the body, practice also can help you lose weight as well drive the blood pressure away from you.

Drinking of too much alcohol and meats which contain high amount fat or calories is not good habit because it may lead to hypertension, Moderate to excessive alcohol consumption can increase blood pressure.

Have a good eating habit the meal we take should be a balanced diet and have interval between time that we take our meal, the meal we take must contains vitamins, mineral and fibers (The best way to get more fiber is to eat a lot of plant foods, which include vegetables and fruits. Legumes are also a good source, as well as some cereals) fruits like oranges, mangoes, pineapple etc. should not miss in our meal, balanced diet with low fats helps to control weight and reduced the risk of being attacked with blood pressure

Get rid of stress as much as possible and getting enough sleep is the one of the factor that can help remove anxiety and tension

 Poor sleep has been linked to the accumulation of body fat, as well as insulin resistance, good sleeping hygiene and stress reduction methods like meditation, relaxation and others can help to prevent someone from being attacked by blood pressure(hypertension)

Reducing salt consumption, high sodium consumption may lead to high blood pressure. The main source of sodium in the diet is salt.

One must reduce the diet with contain excess amount of salt, People with hypertension should consume less than 1,500 mg of sodium per day to manage their condition.

Through medication hypertension can be prevented, the medicine must be prescribed by the doctor who have the experience dealing with hypertension patients, however there are other types of the medication that can be used to treat people with hypertension.

Vigorous activities – sometimes the activities that the person is doing must be vigorous like digging, sweeping, painting and so on these activities will allow the blood to flow throughout the body and hence give the muscles the ability to carry enough blood.

Having a good eating habit is very important, the people with hypertension are not supposed to eat the food with too much sugar like candy, chocolate, cake or even sweetened drinks, salt food are to be avoided and foods with too much fat.
